A solo exhibition by Alison Olorunsola.
Alison working on the ‘Meltdown’ series following a visit to Iceland in 2019 where she saw first hand the effect of global warming on glaciers. Some of the drawings are based on her photographs of the glacier face and icebergs at Jokulsarlon. Over the last few years she has been exploring drone photography and images of the earth from space and has used images from Google Earth and other online sources of melting ice as a basis for other pieces. Alison is very attracted by the ice colours and the jigsaw shapes found in the ice floes. The lockdowns have given her an opportunity to experiment with different media: pencil, pastel, ink, acrylic, felt, photography and digital images.
