to Sunday, 8th September 2019, 6:30pm
(3 day event)
We are pleased to announce The Big Green Cardigan 2019 will take place over the weekend of 6th – 8th September. 2019 will mark the 9th Big Green Cardigan Festival which we are still following the Miles Davies quote “Good music is good, no matter what kind of music it is.” We have great Artists – No particular theme, it doesn't matter if we haven’t heard of them, let’s discover someone new. Real Beer at sensible prices, home cooked food at sensible prices, plenty of clean toilets, no long queues and over 18's only.
So who is playing? Legendary 70’s act Caravan Organiser Mick Hoad says, “I saw them a few months ago so impressed had to try and get them”. The Carnival Collective, whose sounds range from, reggae and jungle to cumbia and swing, and are played on a vast bateria of Brazilian drums, with a fat horn section and dirty bass-lines. Folk festival favourites The Hut People, Sean Taylor, British Blues award winner King Size Slim, Jazz legend Trevor Watts with Jamie Harris, Dandelion Charm and Pass the Cat to name just a few. As usual a contingent from overseas, including award winning Aussie guitarist, Geoff Achison. (Think Allman Brothers, who he has performed with, and you will get the vibe.) Also from the Austin, Texas, Soul band James and Black
There will be at least 8 real ales and home-cooked food at sensible prices, plenty of clean toilets and no dogs. The Big Green Cardigan Festival is for over 18s only and aims to provide you with a hassle-free, relaxed, end-of-summer vibe.
Never been to a festival before? Then maybe the Big Green Cardigan is the one to try for the full festival experience in a micro-version. The festival site, which includes a campsite which is seconds away from the music, is in a beautiful location which enjoys fabulous views across the East Sussex countryside. If the weather is not at its best all the performing areas are under cover. And when we say intimate we mean it, hundreds of people not thousands

|Friday, 7th September 2018 from 8:00pm|
2018 will mark the 8th Big Green Cardigan Festival, some of you have been every single year and others are still finding out about us.
So what are we all about?
Great Artists – No particular theme, it doesn't matter if we haven’t heard of them, let’s discover someone new.
Real Beer at sensible prices
Home cooked food at sensible prices
Plenty of clean toilets
“At The Big Green Cardigan tonight a blistering power blues trio commenced our evening’s entertainment. True to the festival organiser’s previous form this lot was chased away by a young alternative rock duo, closely followed by Belgian swing, aboriginal/Sussex fusion trance didgeridoo tracks with the very fine Eddie And The Hot Rods headlining. Sadly we had to leave before the Victorian music hall act (seriously). ”
The Big Green Cardigan 2018
will be held over the weekend of
7th -9th September 2018.
The Big Green Cardigan runs two live music stages and unlike many events, Big Green Cardigan-goers can get to see all the acts, as the stages perform alternately.
Come along; enjoy the event and the music, and respect the musicians, your fellow guest and the environment. Chill, have fun, meet some new pals and relish in the beautiful place, which enjoys fabulous views across the East Sussex countryside.
We are not family friendly, if that’s what you are looking for there are plenty of alternatives out there.
We are over 18's only and aim for a hassle-free, relaxed end of summer vibe.
And when we say intimate we mean it, hundreds not thousands.
